It turns out there is actually a contemporary art scene in Stirling. Small it may be, but it’s there, centered more specifically around the Tolbooth Centre at the very top of the city’s central hill.
We ladies were lucky enough to experience the preview showing of the Changing Room gallery’s latest exhibition. Wine in hand (red and rosé, naturally), we explored the works of local artists Smith and Stewart whose visual installations focus primarily on human interaction, in this case, kissing.
We believe a visit to the gallery would be a perfect alternative to the Stirling standard date: the pub. The exhibition is on until April 30 and admission is free with late night (and all the more romantic) openings on March 17 and 26.
The adjacent bar is quite possibly Stirling’s trendiest locale with surprisingly reasonable prices in a classy and grown-up setting.
