For an alternative to what’s on at the Students’ Union and clubs and pubs around town, why not head out for a swanky meal together with your friends? Save a few pennies by cutting down on the late night chippy visits and treat yourself to some fine dining smack bang in the centre of town.
Mediterranea is one of Stirling’s best restaurants and has a menu unlike any other you’ll come across in town. Fair enough, the prices are slightly higher than what you’ll find at the average pub, but so is the quality. Mouthwatering dishes like tapas, paella and fresh seafood will set you back around £12.95. My personal favourite is the stuffed lamb that is incredibly tender and full of flavour. A good bottle of wine to accompany the food won’t cost you more than £14. The cooks, Patrick and Marlena, are really friendly and always on hand to suggest what might suit your taste buds.
Highly suitable for dates and parental visits, the restaurant has a pleasant candle-lit atmosphere and chilled out music. If you sit in the downstairs area, there are no big windows facing the busy street so you can really kick back and relax. Find Mediterranea at 4 Viewfield Place, Stirling.
Have a brilliant Freshers Week. Cheers!
